Prisons coach Salum Mayanga has joined the club with reports claiming that he will be announced as the new coach of Mtibwa Sugar.
Mayanga has coached Prisons since August 14 last year taking over from Mohammed Adolph Rishard but also coached the team in the 2015/2016 season and finished fourth in the league behind champions Yanga, runners-up Azam and Simba three. With his expertise that season, he made sport betting exciting again.
The coach allegedly left the Prisons squad without giving official information to the management so currently, the team preparing to play Yanga on Saturday is under assistant coach Shabani Kazumba.
“The coach has left and there are only a few people he has told because since we played with the Tanzania Police abroad (December 4) he has not been seen again and has not participated in team training and left the assistant coach responsibilities,” said one of the members of the team.
Local sources claim that Mayanga has already parted ways with Mtibwa Sugar and will soon appear on the team’s bench, which has allegedly broken his contract with Mcameroon coach Joseph Omog.
When asked by Mtibwa Sugar Chief Executive Officer, Swabri Aboubakary about Mayanga’s arrival within the team he replied that the matter had not yet been formalized.
